Who I Am

ABOUT AMANDA WINTER

I'm currently attending the University of Colorado Denver to get my master's in 

Information and Learning Technologies. This means that I'm trying to better myself as a teacher by incorporating and learning about more technology. This is essential for the 21st century and the classroom. I attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas and received my Bachelor's degree in History there with my teaching certification for Social Studies. I'm certified to teach 8-12 grade and all of social studies including Psychology, Sociology, both US History's, World History, World Geography, Civics, and Economics. 

This is my sixth year teaching and my third school! I was lucky enough to be hired back at my old high school back in Texas and worked there for a year where I taught 11th grade US History. After moving, I was able to secure a job at an inner city high school in Austin, Texas teaching World Geography and World History. In addition, I was also the Girls Head Soccer Coach. After another move to Denver, CO, I finally settled in at Bruce Randolph where I am currently teaching 8th grade US History.
